This will be my last posting.  I am not a fan of blogging-I know now that I can do it, that is an accomplishment.  However I do not see the point, and I do not have the time it takes to sit at my computer.  I have learned a great many useful and valuable skills through this course.  Many of them I have taken directly into the classroom and shared with my students.  Others I have shared with my fellow teachers.  I do think that my technological skillls have greating improved.  I only needed to contact my son in California once throughout this entire course for help.  I am patting myself on the back.  Thank you Jim and Zack!

#2

I am still not a fan of blogging.  I have been sharing the tools from class with my students and the ones with home computers have been enjoying what I am learning.  The tech department has opened up some of the sites and we have been using those when we visit the computer lab.  They love Storybird and Animoto.  I still wish I had more knowledge on these and other technology but feel much more confident than I did 7 weeks ago.  We still have 5 weeks to go so hopefully I will gain a llittle more know how!

First Post

Unlike most of my colleagues, I have never read a blog and never thought I would be composing one.  As a result of this course I have done many things using technology that I never imagined being able to do.  I am reading the Teaching with Technology blog and am envious of the skills these teachers possess.  Maybe if I keep practicing what I am learning and introduce one thing slowly I might be able to do a fraction of what I am observing.  It certainlly does give food for thought.  I know this is the direction education should be going in-it's just hard for me to feel confident enough to use all of this technology.
